KISADO Interval Fitness®

What is KISADO?

KISADO Interval Fitness® is real training for real people.  The secret to our program is that there is no secret. Using the latest sports science research KISADO® is a compilation of the most effective methods of training delivered by professionals to create the most empowering experience possible.  Our goal is to provide participants with the various benefits of exercise in a way that carries over to everyday activities.  If you are looking to lose weight, build strength, reduce stress, increase energy, or just have fun, then KISADO® Interval Fitness can help.

You don’t need to be in shape to start KISADO®, in fact many participants have never been part of a formal training program.  The principles of training used allow participants of various fitness levels to experience a challenging workout.  As an individual progresses so does their ability to shape the complexity and intensity of the class.  KISADO® even has the scalability to meet the intense training habits of athletes and fitness junkies.  Come in and try a class and let us take you to the next level.

The effectiveness of KISADO® is in part due to the use of our comprehensive three prong approach:
  1. The Physical Component combines Martial Arts, Yoga, Kickboxing, Plyometrics, Bag Work, and traditional training methods to improve flexibility, agility, strength, speed, and endurance.  Much of this improvement is gained through the integration of high intensity interval training (H.I.I.T.).  Our research-based intervals provide optimal weight loss and oxygen uptake while building phenomenal core strength.
  2. The Mental Strength Component combines the benefits of physical activity with mindfulness training to improve self-esteem, increase confidence, and reduce stress. These techniques are integrated into both the training segments as well as strategic approaches which are assimilated into daily activities.  Mental strength conditioning is so important that even our military trains the Special Forces with similar techniques.
  3. The Nutritional Component is our proprietary nutrition coaching program that ads the third dimension.  To maximize the success of any exercise program our dietary habits and lifestyle must reflect the effort exerted in class.  Most Americans can use an overhaul in the way they eat.  Our program provides participants with the fundamental knowledge to make wise decisions.

Unlike other mainstream fitness based programs, KISADO® is a fluid approach to physical training that reflects the latest sports science trends and scientific research.  KISADO® is dedicated to consistently evaluating and assessing the changes within the sport fitness industry to ensure that the most effective training methods are being used.  KISADO® will continue to evolve overtime ensuring that participants receive the highest quality training experience.

KISADO Interval Fitness® is not just another fitness program but a comprehensive approach to creating a healthy lifestyle with sustainable results.

"I think the academy is well-organized and flexible, and the instructors are keeping a good balance between the discipline required by martial arts and the softness the tender age of 8 requires."

--Yiannis A.

"The year that we started at Tiger Rock, my son was struggling in many ways. He has been diagnosed with a mild case of benign essential tremors. This is a neurological disorder that causes mild tremors in his arms and hands. It helps in every area in which he needs help:  balance, coordination, and strength. I have to say that the biggest change I’ve seen in Owen is his confidence.  A big part of that is from Taekwondo. He BELIEVES he can do anything and he has developed a very good work ethic to be able to do what everyone else does."
--Michele M.
"My son and I started Taekwondo together when he was 8 years old.  We stayed with it and went on to earned our black belts together.  Now that he's a teenager, we still both agree it's one of the best things we could have done together.  It really gave us something to connect on.  Now we'll always cherish the accomplishment, the shared interest and the shared time."
Catherine S.
"This morning Hudson set the table for breakfast while I was cooking. He said, 'Mama, that's self-discipline.' Then he explained to his sister and baby sister the difference between discipline and self-discipline. When I told him that was pretty important, he replied, 'We learn more in karate than just moves, Mama.'"
